MindSense Australia & MindSense Canada
A Global Collaboration in Trauma-Informed Psychiatry
MindSense Australia is proud to partner with MindSense Canada
MindSense Canada shares our deep commitment to trauma-informed, compassionate, and clinically rigorous psychiatric assessment services.
As leaders in trauma-informed medico-legal psychiatry in Australia, MindSense Australia has built a strong foundation of expertise in complex psychiatric assessments, particularly those involving historical, institutional, and abuse-related matters.
MindSense Canada extends this trusted model of care across Canada, offering trauma-informed psychiatric and medico-legal assessment services nationwide.

MindSense
A Shared Philosophy, Applied Internationally
At the core of both organisations is a deep belief that individuals navigating complex trauma should be met with compassion, sensitivity and respect, helping to make their journey through the legal and medico-legal system as supportive and positive as possible.
MindSense Canada has adopted the trusted assessment model developed by MindSense Australia. Their dedicated panel of Consultants deliver trauma-informed psychiatric assessments that:
- Honour the lived experiences of survivors;
- Meet rigorous clinical and legal standards;
- Minimise the risk of re-traumatisation throughout the assessment process.
Our collaboration allows for the exchange of knowledge, best practice, and clinical insight across jurisdictions, while ensuring each organisation operates independently within its respective country.
